Kevin Love out of USA Men’s Basketball team

Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love has left the U.S. National Team, while Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee and San Antonio Spurs forward Keldon Johnson occupy the 12-man lineup for the Tokyo Olympics, as announced on Friday. Love spent 10 days with the US team in Las Vegas, preparing for the Olympics, but will not go to Tokyo. After a calf injury prevented him from entering the mainstream NBA season, Love is still recovering.

“I am very disappointed that I will not be able to go to Tokyo with the American team,” Love said in a statement from Schwartz, “you must reach the highest level of your body potential to participate in the Olympics, and I haven’t arrived there yet.”

Johnson played for the Olympic team with the US national team and became a favorite of decision makers and employees. According to sources, the US team finalist McGee will report to the Las Vegas team on Saturday. Unfortunately, the three-time NBA champion has no Olympic experience. The day after Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal was forced to withdraw from the Olympics after failling to pass a health and safety agreement earlier this week, the replenishment arrived.

The US basketball team also announced on Thursday night that the men’s basketball game against Australia that was scheduled to be held on Friday Las Vegas night was cancelled “as a precaution”. The US national team’s final against Spain is scheduled to be held on Sunday, and the charter flight to Japan is scheduled to take place on Monday.

Love tried to win the second Olympic gold medal for the Americans in London in 2012. He was also the team that won the gold medal in the 2010 World Cup. His basketball experience in the United States helped him. Although the NBA season is full of challenges, it is still on the list. Love missed 46 games due to injury and averaged 12.2 points in 25 games.

He participated and scored in two of the three U.S. demonstration games held in Las Vegas. On July 25, the Americans played their first Olympic Games with the French team.
