Harbhajan Singh, a veteran cricketer, took to social media to criticize Pakistan supporters. For rigging Team India’s past two ICC T20 World Cup matches, which they won by large margins to stay in contention for the semifinals in the United Arab Emirates. Harbhajan Singh retaliated against Pakistani supporters who accused India of manipulating the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He firmly told them to “shut up” on social media.
India was on the verge of quitting the competition at the Super 12 stage. Because of losing its first two games against Pakistan and New Zealand, respectively, by 10 and 8 wickets. Virat Kohli’s squad, on the other hand, roared back in style in their following two matches. Thrashing Afghanistan for 66 runs and Scotland for 8 wickets to resurrect their modest chances of making the last four.
To increase their net run rate, India needed to beat Afghanistan by at least 63 runs and chase down 86 in 7.1 overs against Scotland.
They outperformed the needed criteria and currently have the highest NRR of any of the six clubs in Group 2. India must now hope that Afghanistan defeats New Zealand on Sunday. And then defeats Namibia the next day to join Pakistan in the semi-finals from Group 2.
A segment of Pakistani supporters, enraged by India’s surprising return in the competition, have been accusing the Men in Blue of rigging ever since they beat the Afghans in Abu Dhabi earlier this week.
With a video on his YouTube page on Saturday, Harbhajan retaliated against those supporters. He asked Pakistanis to cease their “nonsense” on social media.
